Our Annual Management Conference for the year 2005 was held from the 9th to 12th February 2005 at the UAC Training/Seminar Centre. The theme was “ VALUE + VELOCITY FOR THE CUSTOMER”. The Group MD/CEO Mr. Ayo Ajayi declared the conference open while the keynote speaker was Mr. P.B. Ruwase, Executive Director of Panalpina.
Among the facilitators were Larry Ettah HRD, UACN PLC, Oby Igodan, GM Franchise- Mr. Biggs, Dr Tunde Lawal- Group Medical Adviser, UACN PLC. Other speakers who also featured prominently were Pastor Dele Abegunde, Legal Adviser Bank of Industry, who delivered a paper, tagged “Personal Financial Management- Your Future is now”. Afolabi Imokhuede of MCS Consulting presented a paper on “Delivering Value at the Right Velocity to Customers-Attitude Matters”.
The climax of the Management Conference was the Awards Ceremony on Saturday the 12th of February 2005 at the Ikoyi residence of the Group Managing Director. In his speech the Divisional Managing Director, Mr. Hakeem Ogunniran said that “Tonight is a special night- special in many respects. For the first time, we are holding our Employees Recognition and Long/Good Service Awards together.
The Group MD/CEO in his own speech congratulated the recipients of the awards “for their contribution to the growth and development of UAC of Nigeria Plc over several years”.
Present at the occasion were Top Managers Niger House including the Finance Director, Mr. Layi Adetomiwa, Head of Human Resources, Larry Ettah, Dr Tunde Lawal, Group Medical Adviser and Ms Duro Onabolu, Public Relations Adviser.
