MDS Unveils New Logo

MANUFACTURERS Delivery Services, a division of UAC of Nigeria Plc has unveiled a new logo. At the media unveiling of the logo in Lagos on Tuesday, the Divisional Managing Director, Mr. Hakeem Ogunniran, said the purpose of the logo change was to reflect the logistics company as a brand in tandem with the repositioning that had just taken place in the outfit in recent years.

The new logo replaced the traditional insignia, which portrayed UACN acronym in conjunction with the parent body.

Explaining the import of the new logo, Ogunniran said the swing-in 'M' letter, made up of warm red and bold blue colours were arrived at in line with the outfit. He, however, stressed that the decision to limit the logo to Mds acronym did not mean a detachment from the UACN heritage. Rather, he said the company had always been proud of the pedigree and would continue to be.

"The new logo defined the new frontiers, which the company's repositioning had launched into. Besides, it defines the future, especially in key areas where we would want to create strong impact," he said.

According to the MDS boss, the focus include its streamlined focus on the miche markets, especially as reflected by the MDS Pharma Logistics Limited, Telecoms Logistics and Contract/Project Management.

Another segment of the new frontier, which 'Keem Ogunniran identified as a background to the new logo evolvement is in area of collaborative logistics.

The logo, he said, also reflects the outfits recent redefinition of its haulage business, which saw the purchase of new trailers and improved delivery services.
