André has extensive experience in logistics, with a career spanning over twenty years in the industry. He has increasingly specialised in the management of complex multi-national projects, and has experience in strategic forward-planning, operating within tight financial disciplines, integrated business planning, operational excellence and the application of modern leadership methods.

André was previously MD of FedEx Express Southern Africa as well as MD of TNT Express Worldwide. André has also held various positions within DHL, most notably VP: Business Development (Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa), where he was based in Prague, and also served on the European Technology Board during his time here. André also served as Co-Vice President of the American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) prior to joining Imperial, after two years of serving as a board member.

André holds a Higher Diploma in Business Management from Damelin South Africa, and has studied B.Com (Law) at the University of Pretoria.

He was appointed Managing Director MDS Logistics November, 2020.
