MDS Logistics Limited (“MDS”, “we”, “our” or “us) values your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. As a data processor, MDS is committed to processing your personal data in an ethical and lawful manner. This Privacy Notice explains how we process your personal information and help you learn more about what information we collect, how we collect, use, share, process and protect your information in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023 and other applicable laws.

Where you choose to provide same, We may collect and process personal data like contact detail, business information, digital information, employment related data (for applicants and staff) financial information, transactional data, all of which may include but is not limited to: name, identification details, marital status, medical information, nationality, next-of-kin or family members information, telephone number, physical & email addresses, genetic data, biometric data, bank account details, bank verification number, account statement, assets declaration, credit history, tax identification number, photograph, company name, role, service requests, delivery records, geographical location of your computer or mobile device, website usage, posts on social networking medias cookies, IP addresses MAC address, IMEI number, IMSI number and other relevant information.

MDS will only collect “sensitive” personal information like sexual orientation, trade union membership, health, and criminal record(s) when you provide same voluntarily or where such information is required or permitted to be collected by law or professional standards. We therefore advise that you use your discretion when providing sensitive information to us, and under any circumstances, do not provide sensitive information to MDS, unless you in so doing consent to our use of that information for our legitimate business or employment purposes and consent to the transfer and storage of such information to and in our databases.

MDS respects the privacy of children, especially in an online environment. Thus, our sites are not intentionally designed for or directed at nor are our services marketed to children. Therefore, we will not knowingly collect, maintain or process personal information of anyone under the age of 18, save where provided by parents or guardians as part of employee data for the benefit of their child or ward.

  1. via calls, forms, correspondence by letters, emails or other means, service point interface, when you register for certain services, and may retain those communications in order to process your inquiries, respond to your requests and improve our services;

  3. as an employee (past or present) of MDS; through video footage recorded for security and surveillance purposes whenever you visit any of our physical locations;
  4. when you choose to register or log in to MDS website using a third-party single sign-in service that authenticates your identity and connects your social media login information (e.g. LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Google, or Twitter) with MDS; and
  5. when you send us a resume or curriculum vitae (CV) to us or apply online for a position with MDS.

We may also use information about you collected by third parties and other service partners to better serve your needs or enhance our relationship. Such third-party sources are not controlled by MDS; hence we are not liable for how they use your personal information.

In the course of conducting our business, MDS will process your information for the following reasons; due diligence, identity verification, provision of our services, executing your instructions, fulfilment of our contracts with you, determining your service consumption & preference, customer relationship management including updating your records with us and communicating with you, compliance with Laws & our Industry Regulators, providing information to Credit Agencies, business development, risk management, identifying and investigating  illegal activities, general events planning & hosting, human resources management & recruitment, in-house security, marketing, publicity, research, analysis and vendor registration..

We will endeavor to respond within fourteen (14) days of receiving such written request or call. Our response may include an acceptance of your concern or requests, in which case we will implement the necessary measures, or we may reject your concern or request on legitimate ground. Upon acceptance of your concern or request, the maximum issue resolution time shall be a period of 3 calendar months.
