Rose Hamis holds an LLB and LLM degrees and was called to the Nigerian bar in 1999. She is an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Secretary and Administrators, London and Nigeria. 

Before joining MDS in 2019, Rose worked as a Legal Officer and Assistant to the Company Secretary/Corporate Affairs Manager in Costain (West Africa) Plc from February 2001 to August 2004. She joined UACN Property Development Company Plc (UPDC) as Registrar of Titles from September 2004 to January 2006. She served as Legal Adviser of UPDC from January – June 2006.

Rose was transferred to the Group Legal Department of UAC of Nigeria Plc and was appointed the Litigation & Claims Manager, the Company Secretary of Spring Waters Nigeria Limited (SWAN), Unico CPFA Limited, UAC’s closed Pension Fund Company, UAC Registrars Limited and Opticom Leasing Company Limited. 

She was later appointed the Secretarial Services Manager of UACN Plc in October 2011 and served as the Company Secretary of UPDC Hotels Limited, Warm Spring Waters Nigeria Limited.  She was also appointed Company Secretary of UAC Restaurants Limited, a joint venture between UACN Plc and Famous Brands Limited of South Africa, from July 2012 – July 2019.  She served as the Company Secretary of Chemical and Allied Products Plc from January 2014 to August 2019.

Rose is presently the Company Secretary/Legal Adviser of MDS Logistics Limited.
